About us

A digital fabrication workshop connecting technical judgment with real execution.

NectarTech helps people, companies, and product teams turn ideas into objects, prototypes, and solutions that can be tested, presented, or used. From Leon, Guanajuato, we combine engineering, maker culture, digital development, and production capacity.

Approach

We understand the problem first

Before making anything, we review end use, constraints, quantities, materials, expected finish, and budget to recommend a reasonable path.

Capability

Physical and digital processes

We integrate FDM and resin 3D printing, scanning, CO2 laser, CNC, CAD design, software, and electronics when a project needs a more complete solution.

Relationship

Technical partner, not only supplier

We support projects from a first part or prototype through short runs, design improvements, and recurring operational or product work.

Before quoting

Minimum information to review your project without back-and-forth.

You do not need to have everything solved. These details help choose the process, material, scope, and real lead time.

Files

Files you can send

For 3D models we accept STL, STEP, 3MF, and OBJ. For cutting or engraving: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS, PNG, or JPG as reference. Sketches, photos, videos, drawings, or written dimensions also help.

  • 3D models: STL, STEP, 3MF, OBJ.
  • Cutting/engraving: SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, EPS.
  • Reference: photos, sketches, screenshots, drawings, videos, and dimensions.
Inputs

Key quote details

Name, email, phone, requested service, project description, quantity, dimensions, material, color, end use, ideal date, and whether you already have a file.

  • End use: visual, functional, structural, display, or testing.
  • Quantity and approximate dimensions.
  • Material, color, finish, and expected strength if already defined.
Limits

Important restrictions

Not every material can be printed, cut, engraved, or machined. Tolerances, colors, finishes, and lead times depend on material, geometry, process, and workload.

  • 3D printed parts can show visible layer lines.
  • PVC and toxic-fume materials are not suitable for CO2 laser cutting.
  • 3D scanning can require preparation on transparent, black, or reflective surfaces.
Uses

Application examples

We support industry, maintenance, entrepreneurs, education, events, marketing, technology, and electronics.

  • Spare parts, brackets, guards, templates, and auxiliary tools.
  • Prototypes, displays, packaging, signage, and custom products.
  • Housings, sensor mounts, drone parts, IoT prototypes, and teaching materials.

Process

From idea to reality with a clear path before production begins.

The process is meant to define objective, constraints, materiality, and desired result before production starts.

01

Choose the service

The visitor lands, identifies the right capability, and opens a dedicated page to understand the service better.

02

Send key inputs

Quantity, dimensions, material, end use, files, and target date help review scope without losing context.

03

Validate scope

Nectar clarifies geometry, tolerances, finishes, and production constraints before fabrication starts.

04

Fabricate and deliver

The idea becomes a part, display, fixture, model, or physical solution ready to use.

Eco 3D

3D printing can make parts with less waste when planned well.

For prototypes, replacement parts, and short runs, additive manufacturing helps make only what is needed, validate before scaling, and reduce scrap compared with processes that remove material.

Additive manufacturing

Material where the part needs it

3D printing builds in layers, making it useful for testing form, assembly, and function before investing in molds, inventory, or volume production.

  • Reduces discarded parts by validating before producing at quantity.
  • Supports on-demand fabrication to avoid unused inventory.
  • Helps repair or extend product life with replacement parts.

Local

Production closer to use

Fabricating in Leon for local or national projects can reduce transport, packaging, and waiting time compared with long supply chains.

Iteration

Better design before scaling

Testing a physical part early helps correct dimensions, assembly, and end use before producing larger batches.

Materials

Selection by real use

PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA-CF, or resins are selected around service life, performance, finish, and working conditions.

Blog and guides

The blog can work as a practical library: comparisons, buying lists, configurations, diagnostics, and lessons written so clients can make better decisions before requesting a quote.

About Nectar

What services does Nectar offer?

Nectar offers FDM and resin 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser cutting and engraving, CNC, CAD design, software development, electronics integration and prototyping from León, Guanajuato.

Can you quote prototypes and custom parts?

Yes. We quote prototypes, functional parts, scale models, displays, technical components and custom developments.

Do you only work in León or also in other cities?

We operate from León, Guanajuato. Physical orders can be collected from the workshop, and we can also ship throughout Mexico.

Do I need a finished file to request a quote?

No. You can share an idea, photograph, sketch, physical part or existing file. We will review whether modeling, scanning, reverse engineering or adjustments are needed before manufacturing.

How is a project priced?

Pricing depends on the process, dimensions, quantity, complexity, finish and required date. In addition to materials, it covers the research, design, testing, integration and manufacturing time needed for the project scope. All prices include VAT. A formal quote is confirmed after reviewing the technical scope.

How long does manufacturing take?

Lead time depends on the process, quantity, material availability and finish. The confirmed schedule starts once the scope is approved and the requested deposit is received.

What warranty applies to the work?

Nectar evaluates manufacturing defects against the approved specifications. Details, exclusions and reporting instructions are available in the warranty policy.

Quotes, payments and delivery

What information do you need to quote my project?

Share the intended use, quantity, dimensions, preferred material and color, finish and target date. Include available files, drawings, photos or references, critical dimensions and any budget or operating constraints. If you do not have a file yet, we can review your idea or physical part to determine what is needed.

Which file formats do you accept: STL, 3MF, STEP, DXF or SVG?

For 3D printing we review STL, STEP, 3MF and OBJ files. For laser work you can share DXF, SVG, PDF, AI or a reference image; for CNC, DXF, STEP, SVG or a dimensioned drawing. The format and any necessary adjustments are reviewed for the process: an image or reference does not automatically replace a manufacturing-ready file.

Are design and file corrections charged separately?

The scope of design, modeling and file preparation is defined in the quote. Corrections to customer files, new versions and changes after approval may be quoted separately and require authorization before additional work is carried out. CAD service does include tolerance adjustments; design changes are not included.

Quotation terms
Does the quote include VAT, and can you issue a tax invoice?

Yes, we issue tax invoices. All our prices include VAT. VAT applies even if you do not need a tax invoice and is not removed from the price when you do not request one.

Which payment methods do you accept, and what deposit is required?

We accept all payment methods. A 60% deposit is normally required; if the type or scope of the project calls for a different percentage, it will be stated in the quote. The balance is due before delivery or shipping unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Quotation terms
Can I change or cancel my project after approving it?

You can request changes after approval; they may affect the price and schedule and require authorization for additional work. If you cancel, deposits applied to completed work, purchased materials or reserved capacity are not refundable. Any remaining credit is determined by progress and commitments already made, under the quotation terms.

Quotation terms
How can I check the progress of my order?

You can check progress by contacting Nectar directly through our contact channels. Share your order reference or project details when requesting an update.

Contact Nectar
Do you offer rush orders?

Yes, we accept urgent requests and review the schedule according to the type of work. Printing jobs usually allow more flexibility; larger projects require additional time to complete. Feasibility and timing are confirmed for each project.

Can I collect my order or request shipping?

Physical orders can be collected from our workshop. We can also ship throughout Mexico. When requesting a quote, indicate whether you will collect the order or need shipping, and provide the destination so it can be included in the quote.

Do you offer volume or production-run discounts?

Yes, we offer volume discounts. Tell us how many parts or units you need so the quote can take your order volume into account.
